THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND EFFECTIVE TEACHING IS AT MG SCHOOL!

Muriel Gaggini is a rare bridge in the world between the distant past of the West and contemporary artists to whom she wants to convey the art of calligraphy.
The magic and charm of traditional tools and pigments remain with us forever. That is why Muriel offers 43 courses on Latin calligraphy and related crafts and techniques.
Each course includes a detailed manual that teaches the main writing styles that have been used since the Roman Republic to the present day. These manuals also allow students to learn the techniques of manuscript making and traditional and modern illumination. Such manuals do not exist anywhere else in the world, and are currently the only teaching materials available in Japanese.
Muriel also teaches European Heraldry to artists and designers interested in creating logos, monogram designs and coats of arms for companies and various associations.

She has also produce one DVD on the history of calligraphy and other short videos showing different aspects of European manuscript production.

A school of Traditional Calligraphy, Illumination and Heraldic Design

From beginner's level to professional level, all courses are correspondance courses in Japanese, each including
a detailed manual, charts, elegant models and historical documentation.
ONLINE PROGRAM: courses on the present schedule are combined with Skype sessions in Japanese only.
Student can speak with Muriel Gaggini, watch her demonstrations, record and take snapshots.

All the mysteries of the Latin alphabet will be decoded through an easy-to-understand analysis of each style.
